Our Humble Beginnings

Skinny’s BBQ began in a food truck on the streets of El Paso, sharing our love for real Texas barbecue one plate at a time. Those humble beginnings are still part of who we are: slow-smoked meats, big flavors, and a laid-back place to enjoy a good meal. Today, we’re proud to welcome you to two locations: Zaragoza Road in East El Paso and Horizon City. We’ve grown beyond the truck, but we haven’t forgotten our roots. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or you’re stopping in for your first brisket sandwich, come hungry and make yourself at home.

Well what can I say as soon as you walk into the building you are greeted by the owner. Atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Service is 10/10 and the FOOD is the best part. I ordered the Texas Trinity 3 meets 2 sides and a drink. My wife got the Texas two step 2 meats two sides and a drink. Price was great and food was amazing. Would recommend to every bbq lover. Can’t go wrong with Skinny’s.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had! First off the owner, Skinny-thank you for your amazing hospitality. The passion you have for your food is conveyed not only in the way you speak about BBQ but also in flavor. The ribs, fall off the bone effortlessly, the pulled pork was heavenly, combined with that Cole slaw-which I’m not a fan of Cole slaw in general-however I’d put this Cole slaw on anything and everything if I could! Came out here to try some TX BBQ and we were not disappointed! We ordered the Buck Shot for a group of 4, and it was enough to fill us up. Meats: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. Sides: Mac & cheese, BBQ beans, and potato salad. Very satisfied with the service and atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit here.

We were out shopping and came across this gem. The food was amazingly good. The staff were extremely nice and professional. They took our order and cut it on the board right in front of us. We got the “Buck Shot” plate, which feeds four, and it was more than enough for our family to get our share.
